All Materials Sourced from the U.S.A.
Every material used in your Charleston Mattress® is sourced from within the United States. We carefully research and select only the highest-quality components, then craft each mattress with a focus on exceptional support, comfort, and long-lasting durability. Once it's built, we work diligently to keep it affordably priced—so more people can enjoy a better night's sleep.
Our mattress coils are sourced from Leggett & Platt (St. Louis, MO), a respected manufacturer known for incorporating up to 95% recycled steel in their coil production. Each year, they repurpose nearly one million tons of scrap steel for use in Leggett & Platt products.
The Renew™ foam line is made with Carpenter Company’s (Richmond, VA) Natural Foam Technology™, which ensures the reliable, high-quality performance Charleston Mattress customers expect. This bio-based innovation helps reduce environmental impact while also decreasing dependence on foreign oil.
Future Foam (with locations in High Point, NC and Bluffs, IA) produces the HARVEST® foam line, which blends natural oils—such as soy-based polyols—with traditional polyols. This eco-conscious initiative also opens new markets for American farmers.
Our natural latex is harvested directly from rubber trees and processed by Mountain Top Foam (Mountain Top, PA) using a proprietary continuous-pour technique. This method keeps the latex in constant motion during production, preventing particle settling. Naturally resistant to mold and microbes, latex is also biodegradable.
Our quilted covers are crafted by Culp (High Point, NC), a trusted name in mattress and upholstery fabrics for over 40 years. These covers meet the stringent safety and quality standards of STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®.
All materials in our mattresses are CertiPUR-US® certified, ensuring low indoor emissions and the absence of harmful substances like formaldehyde, ozone depleters, PBDEs, restricted phthalates, and heavy metals such as lead and mercury.
